In our practice, patients select a physician or nurse midwife and schedule all non-emergency care with that provider.
Obstetric patients are encouraged to meet all of the doctors or nurse midwives during their pregnancies, since the doctor
or midwife who is on call will see them at the time of their delivery. However, to the greatest extent possible, we
encourage a strong care provider-patient relationship.
